I’m offering my services to families who would like to provide some extra support for their children in areas surrounding identity, creative expression through the arts, and confidence in abilities. I have worked with children in a range of environments and situations, from after school care in suburban Boston to orphanages in Ghana, acting as babysitter, swimming teacher, art program director, and more. I welcome children of all ages and backgrounds. My approach focuses heavily on listening to your child and shaping each session around your child’s unique interests and strengths. I try my best to embody gentleness, patience, kindness, and empathy to facilitate a learning experience that is fun and enriching. Does your son love whales? I can structure a session around whales, including reading about the ocean, painting a whale together, singing songs about them, etc. A bit about myself and my skills: I work with multiple artistic mediums including sketching, oil pastel, clay, wood, paint, and screen printing. I also play and can teach piano, drums, bass, guitar, violin, viola and cello. My other interests, which can also be incorporated into sessions, include swimming, gardening, cooking, writing, sewing, and glassblowing. Feel free to try me with a skill, I have a few more! I am also CPR certified and have been trained in basic First Aid. I’m not sure what to call this position—maybe something like “guided creative sessions,” but through my years of childcare experience, I think my services are essential in helping aid in confidence building and can help children find their interests.
