Wolf Trap Adds Five Full Capacity Shows To Summer Concert Series

VIENNA, VA — Wolf Trap has added five full capacity shows to its summer concert schedule at the Filene Center. All of the performances are part of the Wolf Trap's celebration of its 50th anniversary season. The newly announced shows include musical acts Brandi Carlile and Lake Street Drive as well as the movie "The Princess Bride" in concert with National Symphony Orchestra and "Star Wars: A New Hope" in concert with National Symphony Orchestra. The fifth new full capacity show is a collaboration by Signature Theatre and Wolf Trap presents Broadway In The Park featuring Renée Elise Goldsberry and Brian Stokes Mitchell with a cast of Signature favorites in a program of Broadway's greatest hits. Here are the dates for the newly added shows: Aug. 26 – The Princess Bride in Concert with National Symphony OrchestraAug. 27 – Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert with National Symphony OrchestraAug. 28 – Brandi CarlileSept. 3 – Signature Theatre and Wolf Trap present: Broadway In The Park featuring Renée Elise Goldsberry and Brian Stokes MitchellSept. 9 – Lake Street Dive with Valerie JuneTickets for these newly announced performances will go on sale on Friday, July 23 at 10 a.m. Tickets can be purchased at wolftrap.org. Wolf Trap said it is following Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines on mask-wearing. In general, attendees do not need to wear a mask in outdoor settings, the CDC says. In areas with high numbers of COVID-19 cases, though, people should consider wearing a mask in crowded outdoor settings.
