HAMDEN, CT — A New Haven man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a shooting that happened in Hamden in March, according to police.
Police responded to the area of Dixwell Avenue and Circular Avenue on March 23 on the report of shots fired, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
An investigation found that the victim, a 46-year-old Hamden resident, was standing next to his motorcycle that was parked on the sidewalk. Smith said Timothy Myers, 31, emerged from a rear parking lot and fired several shots.
One of the bullets "went through the sleeve" of the victim's shirt, according to Smith. The man wasn't injured, Smith said.
Detective Scott Levenduski conducted an investigation that led to an arrest warrant for Myers, who was arrested at Meriden Superior Court.
Myers was charged with criminal possession of a firearm, illegal discharge of a firearm, violation of pistol permit requirement and first-degree reckless endangerment. He was held in lieu of a $200,000 bond.
The New Haven Police Department assisted in the investigation, according to Smith.
