We are seeking a Roof Loader / Delivery Assistant for rooftop and yard deliveries; assistant sits in passenger seat of truck (no CDL needed). Trucks have Articulating Boom Crane, or forklift, however a portion of each work day would require loading and unloading cedar shakes and other roofing products that can weigh from 50 to 100 pounds each. Position also includes warehouse and yard duties. Seattle Cedar Supply, LLC, operating out of Snohomish, WA, is a privately owned wholesale distribution company that specializes in cedar shakes, siding and roofing materials. Specific Duties: * Unload materials from truck to delivery site and distribute products according to company standards - most deliveries are rooftop *Safety check of delivery site to note any existing or potential areas of damage to lawn, driveway, power lines, sprinklers, septic tanks, mailboxes, fences etc *Ensuring product on truck matches packing list, signing off each delivery *Assisting in properly loading and securely tying down delivery trucks *Returning packing slips, purchase orders, monetary notes and other job site paperwork to office daily *Pick up and transport products from manufacturer or distribution centers to our warehouse, check against purchase order for accuracy and unload truck *Assist driver with navigation, delivery routes and communication with office *Warehouse duties may include stocking shelves, confirming inventory, pre-loading orders for next day delivery, unloading deliveries Qualifications: **IDEAL CANDIDATE MUST BE COMFORTABLE WITH HEIGHTS** *Fork Lift experience *Roofing/construction knowledge a plus *Must be punctual and ready to work - must have reliable transportation and proof of citizenship or work Visa Physical capabilities to include: *Ability to repeatedly lift 50-100 lbs for a portion of each work day *Repeatedly climb and descend ladders and truck bed *Ability to navigate various roof tops ranging from flat to 12/12 pitches *Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions Hours / Schedule: *Monday through Friday (sometimes Saturday overtime) *Start time varies - usually 6 a.m. (length of workdays vary according to season and daily delivery load *Full Time Hours with Overtime as necessary Benefits: *Health Insurance; Medical, Vision, Dental *Paid Holidays *Earned Vacation and Personal Time *Company Investment Program ROOM FOR GROWTH - Willing to train a motivated employee if interested in CDL certification and/or Knuckle Boom Articulating Crane. *We are a small, family owned company - not a corporate atmosphere.
