WERQ Your Rack is a dance fitness party benefiting local breast cancer programs supported by Betty Ford Breast Care Services. The event will include vendors from companies that support health, beauty, women, fitness, and breast cancer patients. The dance party portion of the event is a fierce WERQ Dance Fitness party with lights, a concert stage, and multiple instructors. You will want to wear your favorite workout gear and gym shoes because you will burn 700-1200 calories and could get over 10,000 steps! All dance and fitness abilities are welcome. Did you know that if a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer in the early stages she has a 99% survival rate? WERQ Your Rack is about educating women, empowering them to take care of themselves. and helping them get the resources they need to be successful. Our goal is to donate 100% of ticket sales to Betty Ford Breast Cancer Center, and 100% of that money will go towards programs that help women right here in Grand Rapids. There are no refunds for this event. FAQs What if there is bad weather? This event will be held outdoors, so dress apporptiately. Unless there is sever weather, we will be dancing in it. :) What should we wear? Wear weather appropriate workout clothes and gym shoes. This is a fitness event. All fitness levels welcome! Are there minimum age requirements to enter the event? No. Anyone and everyone is welcome. What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? There are no refunds. Angie is a group fitness instructor right here in West Michigan. Her passion for fitness and love for dance has collided, and she shares that love with others every week while teaching the hip hop-based dance fitness format called WERQ. After losing her mother to breast cancer in April of 2016, she felt motivated to help others with breast cancer.
