Heart of West Michigan United Way's Women United hosts "Unite to Ignite" To all our strong, powerful Women United members: Here’s your chance to step away from the Zoom call and mingle with other members face to face! After meeting virtually for so long, we’re excited to host our first in-person event. Join us for an evening of networking and self-empowerment that will include motivational guest speakers, Veverly Austin and Vivian TerMaat, and inspirational poetry by Syreeta Drake. About our motivational speakers: Veverly Austin is the founder of several ventures that uplift, empower, and inspire women and teen girls. As the owner of Confident WEAR Boutique and founder of Rock the Runway GR which helps increase breast cancer awareness, she uses her personal experiences as a business coach and accomplished entrepreneur to serve others on their journey to confidence, purpose, and successVivian TerMaat is the Chief Advancement Officer of Wedgwood Christian Services, where she created and developed the Women of Wedgewood group and Wedgewood’s State of the Child annual event. Vivian also serves as an Elder at Central Reformed Church.Light appetizers and one drink ticket will be provided. There will also be a cash bar available. The more the merrier—Women United members can bring one guest each. Please include your guest when you register for the event.
