Description

DEF Detroit is excited to host a Link & Learn on 9 AUGUST at 5:30 PM In the 21st Century, warfare is no longer being primarily fought and won by guns, tanks, and fighter jets--it’s now being waged through economic and political means. Meeting this growing demand for flexibility and accelerated delivery times will require the agile development, rapid adoption, and integration of advanced capabilities. During this DEF Detroit Agora Link and Learn, brought to you by Second Front Systems, we'll be discussing the need for transforming acquisitions to be a warfighting function and leveraging commercial technology in areas such as cyber, software, and manufacturing to enable strategic competition with peer-competitors. Refreshments sponsored by Second Front Systems Who should attend & why? Anyone in Detroit or interested in preparing the acquisition system for the rest of the 21st Century About DEFThe mission of the Defense Entrepreneurs Forum is to inspire, connect and empower people by convening events, forging partnerships and delivering tangible solutions. We do this in order to promote a culture of innovation in the U.S. national security community. We are united in this purpose through service to our nation and the desire to bring new ideas and innovations to the national security ecosystem. We recognize that large, multi-tiered organization can stymie new ideas and ways of solving problems. Within any such group, there are people driven to find new, better, faster, cheaper, easier and more effective solutions. DEF unites those people, enabling them with avenues to express themselves, connect with like-minded individuals, and gain the insights, mentorship and support necessary to bring their ideas to execution. If you have an interest in national security, regardless of whether you work in government, academia, a startup, policy or industry, you may also be a virtuous insurgent. Find out more and join us at DEF.org. The Defense Entrepreneurs Forum is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. We inspire, connect and empower people to promote a culture of innovation in the U.S. national security community by convening events, forging partnerships and delivering tangible solutions.
