LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — One person was injured during a fight in Loudoun County on Monday, July 19, according to a report from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Authorities said they have identified all the people involved with the fight, but they are still looking for more information about what happened and the circumstances that led to the altercation. Loudoun County deputies said they responded to the fight in the 43400 block of Mink Meadows Street near South Riding at 4 p.m. on Monday. A caller, who was a third party and was not involved in the incident, called police to report a fight that was occurring outside of their home. By the times deputies arrived on the scene, all of the suspects had already fled the area, the sheriff's office wrote in a police report. However, while the deputies were at the scene, one of the victims arrived at a nearby hospital to receive treatment for injuries suffered in the assault. The victim told authorities that he was driving with friends near Mink Meadows Street when they saw two people who were acquaintances to the group. The two groups exchanged words, and the victim stopped the car, according to the police report. He was "immediately assaulted," by one of the acquaintances, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said. One of the victim's friends called another person who arrived in a separate vehicle.
