ABINGDON, MD — A home store is now open in Abingdon where the J.C. Penney used to be on The Boulevard at Box Hill.
After declaring bankruptcy in May 2020, J.C. Penney announced it would close the store in Harford County as well as two other locations — one in Allegany County and another in Prince George's County.
At Home opened in mid July. The business bills itself as the home decor superstore.
Elizabeth Janney/PatchIndoor furniture, rugs, wall art, storage, cleaning items and others are among the thousands of products in the warehouse-sized business.
Headquartered in Plano, Texas, At Home spans more than 200 stores in 40 states.
At Home is at 3411 Merchant Avenue in Abingdon. Hours are 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. Curbside pickup and local delivery options are available.
