ANNAPOLIS, MD — Fitzgerald Mazda Annapolis cut the ribbon on its renovated showroom Wednesday. The remodel enclosed the showroom in energy-efficient glass. It also brought more natural light into workspaces, which now have an open floor plan. The facility was built in the 1960s as a Volkswagen location. Fitzgerald bought the site in 1999. Penney Design Group drew up the new look. Porter Construction handled the build. "Our people are very excited to work in and welcome the community to our bright and expansive new showroom," Fitzgerald Auto Malls Founder Jack Fitzgerald said in a press release. "This new showroom is a testament to Fitzgerald's commitment to energy efficiency and employee wellbeing." The car dealership, located at 1930 West Street, expected a citation from U.S. Sen. Ben Cardin. It also anticipated visits from: State Sen. Sarah ElfrethState Del. Dana JonesState Del. Shaneka HensonAnnapolis Mayor Gavin Buckley Subscribe to your local Patch newsletter.
