New Boulder Fire-Rescue Station 3: Department Seeks Feedback

BOULDER, CO — Boulder Fire-Rescue is seeking public feedback on plans for a new fire station in the city. The city purchased two parcels of land, at 2875 and 2751 30th St., in 2019 for the future Boulder Fire-Rescue Station 3. The current Station 3, at 1585 30th St., was built in 1965. "The new location will enable Boulder Fire-Rescue to respond to the increased demand for service along the 30th Street corridor near Valmont Road and Pearl Street, and will help the department improve response time in this area," the department said in a news release. A virtual public meeting is set to be held at 6 p.m. Thursday to discuss the project overview, site plan, building design, the Bluff Street extension, features of a proposed community room and project timeline, the department said. "Boulder Fire-Rescue wants to know your thoughts and concerns on the proposed project whether they relate to construction impacts, how the facility will operate or other aspects," the news release read.
