New Locally Owned Code Ninjas to Celebrate Grand Opening July 24

The local owners of a new Code Ninjas, a learning center that will celebrate its grand opening on July 24 at 7315 Fairmont Pkwy., know that video games aren’t only fun, but educational. Code Ninjas will serve the local area by teaching children computer coding and problem-solving skills while having fun building video games. To celebrate the new center, Code Ninjas will be hosting a grand opening celebration on July 24. To welcome the community to the event, Code Ninjas will be providing a number of opportunities to experience the center, such as four STEM stations (slime making, airplane building, Lego station, free game building station). Michael has over 20 years of professional experience in computer programming and software development. After becoming interested in a more entrepreneurial business path, Michael was introduced to Code Ninjas by a friend and immediately became interested in the concept. After meeting with a local Code Ninjas franchisee, Michael knew that Code Ninjas was the perfect opportunity to combine his passions of technology and coding with business ownership. “Code Ninjas promotes children to learn in an encouraging and collaborative environment, which is why we are so excited to bring Code Ninjas to the Deer Park and Pasadena communities,” said Michael. “Children in our community that come to Code Ninjas will gain a strong understanding of coding in a way that is interactive, social and fun.” Deer Park and Pasadena area children ages 7-14 can look forward to visiting the new Code Ninjas center to learn how to code in a fun, safe, and social learning environment where gaming is celebrated, and STEM is cool. Everything about Code Ninjas is built around fun, which keeps kids coming back. But the center also provides the results that parents are looking for, as their children gain coding and problem-solving skills they’ll need for the jobs of the future. Code Ninjas accomplishes this with a robust, game-based curriculum made up of nine belts, just like martial arts. The curriculum is self-paced, but not self-taught; kids get immediate help and encouragement from Code Sensei's and fellow students as they advance from white to black belt. The program keeps kids motivated with little wins along the way, and “Belt-Up” celebrations where they receive color-coded wristbands to mark their graduation to the next level. By the time a child finishes the program, they will publish an app in an app store.
