The City of Chico is currently recruiting for the position of Senior Maintenance Worker, assigned to the Street Trees Division. The Street Trees Division is responsible for the care and maintenance of trees within the City right-of-way. The Senior position will be expected to perform complex and skilled tree maintenance tasks, such as climbing, tree inspections, and limb, branch or tree removal. Minimum Qualifications: Experience & Education: One year of experience performing duties similar to those assigned to the Maintenance Worker class. Specialized training in public works construction and maintenance work including light and moderately heavy equipment operation. Additional Requirement: Possession of a valid Class B California Driver License. The City of Chico offers great pay and excellent benefits, including a CalPERS retirement.
