AUSTIN, TX — A person is being hospitalized for potentially life-threatening injuries after falling 50 feet from the Longhorn Dam Bridge, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.
EMS received a 911 call before 11 p.m. Thursday about an adult who fell from the bridge at 60 N. Pleasant Valley Road in east Austin.

No other information available. pic.twitter.com/xu0wmz1UsQ— ATCEMS (@ATCEMS) July 23, 2021 Medics said the person suffered potentially life-threatening injuries as a result of the fall and was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center for treatment.
ATCEMS said crews had to build a rig in order to hoist the person from the rocky area they fell into due to the position they fell. Medics also launched a drone to assist in locating and rescuing the person.
The condition of the person was unknown Friday morning.
