200 More Coronavirus Vaccinations In Vanderburgh County

By John Gibson, WNIN July 20, 2021 200 more Vanderburgh County residents have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The Indiana Department of Health says 81,798 county residents are now fully vaccinated. The agency also tallied a dozen new infections in the county on the Monday dashboard. Vanderburgh's seven-day positivity rate among individuals held at 8.5 percent. The number of hospitalized COVID patients in the 12-county region of southwest Indiana rose to 46. There were no new COVID-related deaths recorded across Indiana but the state did see 285 more infections. Indiana's seven-day positivity rate among individuals remained lower than Vanderburgh County's – 5.1 percent. Health experts say the vast majority of people being infected with the virus' delta variant are unvaccinated. WNIN is the NPR/PBS affiliate in Evansville, Indiana.
