ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Village of Romeoville will its first annual Opportunity Matters Leadership Picnic, sponsored by Romeoville FOP Lodge 15 and Sam Franklin Basketball. The picnic is for ages 10-17, and kids will be able to visit with leaders from several Village departments, according to the village website. The event will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 12 at the Romeoville Athletic and Event Center, 55 Phelps Ave. According to the village, the event will feature a dunk tank, watermelon eating contest, tricycle obstacle course, a DJ, giant Jenga and checkers, and bean bags.
