PLAINFIELD, IL — The railroad crossing at 135th Street and Van Dyke Road is back open after a stopped train blocked the intersection around 1:45 p.m. Thursday. Police estimated the problem would take about an hour to resolve, and roads opened around 3:30 p.m. There is currently a train stopped on the tracks blocking the crossings at 135th St and Van Dyke Rd. Please avoid the area, as we have been given an ETA of about an hour.
