PASADENA, CA — Pasadena residents will no longer have to be required to build a covered parking space if they construct an addition to their home, according to the Pasadena Star News. The Pasadena City Council updated its municipal code Monday to bring it in line with state law overseeing accessory dwelling units, also known as ADUs, and property additions. Before the update, homeowners were required to build an additional covered parking space if they wanted to add a second unit to their home, the paper reported.
