ORLAND PARK, IL — The Orland Park Police Department and Orland Fire Protection District sprung into action to save a duck in a flock of trouble.
On Wednesday, the police department shared a video of a rescue mission that took place out at Lake Sedgewick, located at 15600 W. Ave, Orland Park. A duck was stuck in some vegetation, but was quickly brought back to safety, according to police.
In the shared video, a small boat with five rescue officials was seen heading toward the duck. Once the officials got to the trapped bird, they began fishing it out with a net, together. The officials removed any debris that was stuck to the duck, assuring it is OK.
Shortly after, the officials boated back to land, where they successfully completed the rescue mission.
