CHATHAM, NJ — The Chatham Food Truck Festival is coming back to the Chathams on Saturday, Aug. 28, with details still under wraps, to benefit the Cultural Committee of Chathams. The Cultural Committee, which describes itself as a "grassroots effort dedicated to building community through various programs," only wrote in its announcement, that more information would be coming soon. Mega Bite Events, however, the organization that had begun planning the June 2020 festival - sidelined because of COVID-19 - has the ticket page set up for advanced sales, with Chatham Middle School on 480 Main Street as the location; and the date and hours for the event from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Advanced sale are here, with adult tickets $6; youth ages 4-10 $4; and children three years and under no charge to enter. There will be tickets sold the day of the festival, according to the event page, with those prices not yet available. "After a year away we're coming back bigger and better than ever," Mega Bite Events wrote. The event page says attendees should get ready to not only bring their appetites, but also their lawn chairs and four-legged friends, "for a day of great food, great music and a celebration of life." There are 15+ food vendors expected to come so far, their names not released yet, along with boardwalk-style games, a bounce house, hatchet tossing, face painting and more in the works, according to the event page details. The group's last Food Truck Festival took place at the Chatham Middle School in June 2019.
