CONCORD, NH — It's Olympics time! American athletes, including at least two with connections to New Hampshire, are in Tokyo preparing to compete. Jessica Parratto of Dover, is competing with the driving team. Katelin Guregian, a rower who was born in Nashua but currently lives in Orlando, is also competing. The games run through Aug. 8. Good luck, ladies! Here are some other things going on in New Hampshire right now. Dean Kamen: Inventor, Granite State Cheerleader, Opportunist? During the height of the coronavirus pandemic, New Hampshire inventor Dean Kamen came through for the state and its veterans, using his connections in China to quickly line up personal protection equipment for the state's medical staffers and long-term care facilities, as reported here on Patch last year. He was heralded for his help … and rightfully so, considering what was going on. But now, in this NHPR report, Kamen is accused to working as an inbetweener for the state and federal government while receiving $83 million. Developer: Tenants Excited About Revamped Market And Main Project The developer of a multi-million dollar, scaled-down, mixed-use project in Bedford said the new design had received positive reactions from probably tenants, according to the New Hampshire Union Leader. New Boston Teen Missing For 32 Years WMUR-TV has a short update here about the cases of Carrie Moss, 14, of New Boston, who was last seen alive on July 25, 1989.
