Description
KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — The Transportation Security Administration opened up a temporary pop-up center in King of Prussia this week to help residents swiftly process PreCheck applications.
The center is located in an air conditioned RV at the AAA building, located on 197 E. Dekalb Pike. It will be operational through July 23.
Officials noted that as travel begins to open up around the country and the rest of the world following the pandemic, PreCheck is particularly valuable.
"TSA PreCheck is more valuable than ever during the pandemic because it reduces touchpoints, and as individuals make plans to travel again, this is an ideal time to enroll in the program," the agency said in a statement announcing the opening.
Once a PreCheck application is approved, travelers can leave on their shoes and belt, and their laptop can stay in its case.
Appointments should be made online. There are several required documents and the application fee is $85.
