LA GRANGE, IL — La Grange police have released their latest blotter. Here is information from the latest reports: Sex offender David Williams, 31, of Cicero, was arrested July 8 on a charge of failing to register as a sex offender after moving to a new address outside the original jurisdiction. Fireworks damage Two mailboxes appear to have been damaged by fireworks July 10 in the 600 and 800 blocks of South Edgewood Avenue. On July 12, another mailbox was reported damaged by apparent fireworks between July 1 and July 12 in the 700 block of South Stone Avenue. Warrant Jason Dent, 40, of La Grange, was arrested shortly before midnight July 5 on a warrant charging failure to appear on a criminal damage charge. Police responded to a call about a person possibly trespassing in the 10 block of South La Grange Road. Officers recognized McNeal as someone with an outstanding warrant. Driving violations Flowers McNeal, 32, of Romeoville, was cited about 5 p.m. July 8 at Ogden and Ashland avenues on charges of driving with a revoked license and driving with expired plates. Oscar Ramos, 25, of Chicago, was cited about 9 a.m. Wednesday at Ogden and Burlington avenues on charges of driving a commercial vehicle with a suspended or revoked commercial driver's license and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Bicycle stolen A locked Specialized mountain bicycle was stolen between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. July 9 at a bike rack at Burlington Avenue and South La Grange Road. Text scam A resident in the 700 block of South La Grange Avenue received a suspicious text message claiming to be from the state Department of Transportation. It requested the resident go to a link and provide information. No loss was reported. The report was filed July 12 Graffiti The back of a building in the 700 block of East Elm Avenue was reported damaged with graffiti July 13. It was reported as happening in the previous week. Graffiti was scrawled on the cooling fan of the air conditioning unit on the top floor of a building in the 10 block of Sixth Avenue. The report was made Thursday. Police report information is provided by local police departments. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions on a given day, and persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
