Long Beach’s leading comprehensive medical and cosmetic dermatology facility, Laser Skin Care Center, has announced a new addition to its impressive lineup of physicians and staff. Dr. Benjamin Farahnik, a board-certified dermatologist and Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (F.A.A.D), currently practices in general medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. He brings to the practice his expertise in specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the skin, hair, and nails. The founding partners of Laser Skin Care Center, Dr. Bryna Kane and Dr. Edward Glassberg, are excited to welcome Dr. Farahnik to their current roster of physicians. The practice has committed to providing the highest level of patient care for over 30 years and believes that the addition of Dr. Farahnik will continue their mission to better serve clients and the community at large. Dr. Farahnik graduated with the highest honors from U.C Berkeley and was a member of the Sports Medicine team while subsequently attending the University of Vermont College of Medicine. During medical school, he was offered a highly coveted clinical research fellowship at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where Dr. Farahnik learned about the management of complex dermatologic conditions and led several clinical trials studying new biologics for psoriasis. He then returned to California to complete a combined internal medicine and surgical internship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center followed by dermatology residency at UC Davis, where he served as Chief of Resident Cosmetics Education in his final year. Dr. Farahnik’s expertise is strongly rooted in patient-focused care, treating each individual with kindness and compassion to create a comfortable and enjoyable experience. He prides himself on staying up-to-date with the most recent advances in dermatology by engaging in continued education, research, and teaching. Dr. Farahnik has authored over 45 peer-reviewed journal articles and textbook articles and regularly speaks at national dermatology conferences.
