WARRINGTON, PA — The idea came to her only four weeks ago, but Mariah Drenth-Cormick wasted no time in setting up the grand opening of the Warrington Farmers Market. "I figured if I wanted it to work, I couldn't put it on anybody else's plate," said Drenth-Cormick, who works as a bus driver for the Central Bucks School District. The Warrington Township resident who serves on the board of the Lions Pride Park says the weekly market at Lower Nike Park will serve as a fundraising event for the planned All Abilities Playground. The Campaign for Lions Pride Park is looking to raise $1.2 million to transform the site of the former Twin Oaks Day Camp into a public park accessible to people of all ages and abilities. The Warrington Farmers Market will host its grand opening event on Friday, July 23, from 4-7 p.m. at Lower Nike Park, located at 301 Folly Road in Chalfont. Meat Wagon BBQ will be providing food. The market will repeat every Friday through Oct. 22 and will feature roughly 30 vendors and a food truck. For more information, check out the Warrington Farmer's Market Facebook page.
