Stranger Pulls Up Next To Youth: Elmhurst Cops

ELMHURST, IL — A man pulled his silver pickup truck next to a boy and gestured to the youth to come to his truck Friday, police said. The incident happened about 6 p.m. in the 400 block of North Evergreen Avenue, police said. The boy's father called police about it. The boy ran inside his house when the man gestured to him, and the man left the area, police said. Officers checked the neighborhood, but were unable to find the man. The suspect is described as 40 to 50 years old, having a beard and mustache, and wearing a navy blue collared shirt. His race is unknown.
