Press release from the City of Glendora: 07/21/2021 IMPORTANT: Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information NOTICE OF UNSCHEDULED VACANCY on the COMMUNITY SERVICES COMMISSION _____________________________________________ NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Cal. Gov't Code§ 54974 the following unscheduled vacancies exists on the following legislative body in the City of Glendora: COMMUNITY SERVICES Commission Said vacancy exists as of July 15, 2021 to Office No 4. The unexpired term will end June 30, 2023. The successful appointee will be required to file a "Statement of Economic Interest" (Form 700) within 10 days after assuming office. The Community Services Commission consists of five members appointed by the City Council to four-year terms. The Community Services Commission serves in an advisory capacity to the Council and the Director of Community Services in all matters pertaining to park maintenance; recreation program; park development; and to cooperate with other governmental agencies and civic groups in the advancement of sound recreation and programing. This Commission meets on the third Thursday of each month. Qualifications: Applicants must be 18 years or older, register to vote and must maintain residency within the incorporated areas of the City of Glendora during their term of office. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that the final appointment to an unscheduled vacancy on a board/commission, shall not be made by the City Council for at least 10 working days after the posting of the notice by the City Clerk's office.  That date will be Wednesday, July 21, 2021. APPOINTMENT PROCEDURE:  Applications are available via the City's website at www.cityofglendora.org or at the City Clerk's Office, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., except holidays.  Completed application forms must be filed with the City Clerk no later than 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 5, 2021. Please call the City Clerk's Office at (626) 914-8210 for more information. It is anticipated that interviews and/or appointments will be schedule for Tuesday, August 24, 2021.
