The Raleigh Fire Department is launching a quarterly newsletter, Raleigh Fire News, this summer.
In the newsletter, you'll get a behind-the-scenes look at how our firefighters, special units and command staff prepare and respond to emergencies. You'll also find safety tips for how to prevent fires, upcoming events, news, fire station cooking recipes and statistics.
The inaugural issue of the newsletter, which comes out soon, includes:
How an RFD team went above and beyond the call of duty in helping a Raleigh resident The reason behind the second most common cause of house fires in Raleigh and how you can help prevent them Fire Chief Herbert Griffin's No. 1 priority It's easy. Subscribe(link is external) and each edition of the quarterly newsletter will arrive in your inbox when it becomes available. Our first edition is expected to come out this summer.
