IREDELL COUNTY, NC — An Iredell County man was arrested and is being held on a $1 million bond after he was charged with 18 counts of statutory sex offenses with a child, the Iredell County Sheriff's Office said Thursday.
Timothy Clayton Campbell, 29, of Harmony, was arrested July 21 on the charges.
According to ICSO, the sheriff's office recently received a report about the alleged sexual assault of the juvenile, and that the offense occurred between April and December last year.
"The juvenile victim was interviewed at the Dove House Children's Advocacy Center," ICSO said.
Several additional witnesses were also interviewed and evidence and information gathered during the investigation was used as the basis for the felony arrest warrants, the sheriff's office added.
Following his arrest, Campbell was transported to the Iredell County Detention Center.
