Description
ALAMEDA, CA — Alameda Police received an advisory last month to be on the lookout for a man wanted for felony transportation and sales of methamphetamine.
Officers recognized him as a person associated with several previous Alameda car thefts and weapon offenses, and tried to locate him without success.
Recently, officers spotted him approaching his home after getting out of a vehicle. They approached the man and, according to police, "the man admitted to driving on a suspended license, was found to have several bags of methamphetamine and cocaine for sale, and was in possession of a loaded firearm."
The man, whose name has not been released, was arrested on a felony warrant.
He faces additional charges including possession of a firearm by a felon.
Police say, "While the BOLO flyer was sent out over a month ago by another agency, we want to take a moment to applaud this officer for staying up-to-date on events and outstanding individuals who may be impacting the quality of life of our community."
