BROOKLYN, MI — Faster Horses Festival released a statement Monday, days after four people died at the country music festival. Three deaths reported Saturday are suspected to be carbon monoxide-related, according to multiple reports. The death of a fourth person on Saturday is unrelated. Another two people are hospitalized. Festival authorities said Monday they are working with local police. "All of us in the Faster Horses Festival Family are deeply saddened by the tragic losses this weekend, as confirmed by the Lenawee County Sheriff's department," the festival said in a statement posted on Twitter. "We will continue to stay in close contact with The Lenawee County Sheriff and all other Law enforcement agencies, and follow their lead regarding any and all information as it is officially confirmed. They were all pronounced dead at the scene. Two other men in the trailer were taken to a hospital in critical condition, the newspaper reported, citing Lenawee County Sheriff's officials. The three men who died were later identified as Dawson Brown, 20, Richie Mays Jr., 20, and Kole Sova, 19, MLive.com reported. The men were friends who played high school football together, friends and family said in an Associated Press report. Earlier on Saturday, Melissa Donna Havens, 30, was found dead at the festival that drew thousands to the Michigan International Speedway, according to the USA Today. The three-day festival is scheduled to end on Sunday. Havens' death is considered unrelated to the carbon monoxide poisonings, as a person of interest, a man who was last seen with her, is wanted, Click on Detroit reported.
