TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit says one person was injured and another is in custody following a Tuesday morning shooting at the Ramada Inn on Skyland Boulevard. Captain Jack Kennedy, the commander of the multi-agency unit, told local media that the victim was receiving medical treatment, but stopped short of giving more on the victim's status. The person of interest in the case has not been identified and Kennedy pointed out that the investigation is ongoing and in its earliest stages.
