AQUEBOGUE, NY — Two have been arrested and charged with burglarizing an Aquebogue home last week, police said. According to Riverhead Town Police, on Thursday, Courtland E. Bonalde, 40, and Rose Pittman, who are both homeless, were arrested, charged with first-degree burglary, and held for arraignment. Bonalde was also being held on a New York State parole warrant for violating the terms and conditions of his parole agreement, police said. According to Riverhead Town Police, authorities responded to a burglary in progress at a home on Main Road on July 16 at 12:51 p.m. Bonalde and Pittman entered the home and stole a rifle, cash, and a jar with U.S. currency, police said. Both left the area in a green vehicle before police arrived, authorities said. This investigation is still active; anyone with information about the crime or other crimes that could have been committed by the pair is urged to call the Riverhead Police Department at 631-727-4500 ext. 312, police said.
