Press release from the Atlanta Police Department: 07/22/2021 Update: The victim has succumbed to his injuries. This case will now be investigated as a homicide. The investigation continues: 212031822 Preliminary information: On Thursday, July 22, 2021, at around 9:11 p.m., officers were dispatched to 653 BOULEVARD NE on a person shot call.  Upon arrival, officers located a male suffering from a gunshot wound.  He was transported to the hospital in critical condition.  Preliminary investigation indicates the shooting was the result of a domestic dispute.  Investigators with the Aggravated Assault Unit were notified and will be responding to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.  The investigation continues.   Please keep in mind the above information is preliminary in nature and can change as the investigation progresses and new information comes to light.
