John T. Jones Construction Co. is looking for a Shop Foreman to join our team; they would be responsible for overseeing shop operations. Job duties Include, but are not limited to: -Oversees, schedules, administers and conducts fleet maintenance and transport -Inspects equipment, vehicles and tools; performs light maintenance or coordinates with repair vendors -Maintains records -Inventories and track tools, equipment and vehicles -Supervises shop employees -Metal Fabrication -Review work orders, assign tasks to employees and verifies quality of work performed -Trains and coaches shop employees -Procures necessary parts, tools, vehicles and equipment- ensuring cost effectiveness -Maintain communication with local parts and equipment dealers -Facilities upkeep & management -Performs physical hands-on work -Other duties as assigned Knowledge, skills & abilities: -Practical knowledge of the function, operation, maintenance, and repair of construction equipment,tools & vehicles. -Experience in either a shop or construction environment -Ability to communicate and coordinate with field/office staff & outside vendor; organize, plan and supervise -Comfortable with computers, particularly Microsoft Excel & Outlook John T.
