Description
Our client is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team. This is a temp to hire opportunity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
· Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s financial reporting requirements and general ledger structure; reporting in both GAAP and IFRS
· Knowledge of all accounting functions, emphasis on inventory analysis and cost accounting
· Ensure accurate and timely monthly/quarterly/yearly close and financial reporting to parent company within deadlines
· Supervise accounts receivable/payable, assets, liabilities, intercompany accounts and other transactions
· Manage functions in two ERP systems and separate inventory system, working knowledge of the systems will need to be learned
· Perform analyses of financial and non-financial information
· Involvement in preparation/reporting of quarterly forecast and yearly budget
· Support management with special projects and ad hoc reports
· Continuously seeks to improve processes
· Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates
· Collaborate with other departments
Desired Experience:
· 4- 6 years of professional experience in accounting
· Some supervisory experience
· CPA preferred
· Experience in manufacturing & cost accounting
· Strong Excel skills
· Experience with IFRS is a plus
· Experience in ERP systems Epicor/SAP not required but a plus
· Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
· Must possess strong time management skills with attention to deadlines
