GROUNDSKEEPER Full time, hourly $2000.00 sign on bonus!!! (rules apply) Nazareth Pallet is the premier family held pallet recycling company in the Lehigh Valley selling wood pallets to the rapidly growing warehouse and manufacturing markets in the area. RESPONSIBILITIES: LANDSCAPE AREAS: Ensures all plant landscape areas are manicured appropriately and kept seasonally presentable In season, regularly treat weeds for weed control, rake leaves, plant flowers/shrubs, spread mulch/woodchips/stones, trim shrubs and hedges, cut down and removes low hanging tree limbs damaged by adverse weather conditions, and perform other lawn care services as necessary. May also apply chemicals, including fertilizers or pesticides Installs new plantings as becomes necessary Maintains condition of all perimeter fencing PARKING LOTS, ROADWAYS, BUILDING ENTRANCES, LOWER DOCKS AND OTHER TRAFFICKED AREAS: Picks up trash/debris from all areas on a daily Ensures all entire entry areas are presentable at all Inspects areas for any type of damage to signs, walls, passageways, blacktop and other ground surfaces. Makes repairs as needed, if within ability, or notifies Plant Maintenance Manager Plows, clears, salts and maintains all passageway areas during snow Maintains the working condition of all entry gates GENERAL: Safely operate vehicles for the purpose of performing job Maintain all equipment provided Follow safety procedures while performing Report all maintenance issues and concerns identified while performing daily duties to Plant Maintenance Manager. Other duties and special projects as REQUIREMENTS: Previous groundskeeping / maintenance experience preferred Must be able to use a variety of hand tools and powered equipment, such as lawnmowers, rakes, trimmers, chainsaws and snow blowers Ability to lift at least 25 pounds You must be hard-working, reliable and a self-starter but willing to take directions from management and have basic maintenance skills CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES: Valid Driver’s License with clean record for past two years.
