Hound Dog Pet Hotels is now hiring! We are a local family owned business that opened in 2003. We are proud to serve the area with professional boarding, daycare and grooming services for dogs and cats. We have multiple full and part time staffing positions available immediately for our morning and evening shifts. Our morning shift is 6am until 2:30pm; evening shift hours can vary starting at 2:30pm until around 9:30pm or later. Kennel assistants initially work with us by contributing in daily operations of running our business; primarily creating and supervising play groups, general care of pets like feeding, cleaning up after pets and administering medications. Other duties assigned to kennel assistants include but aren’t limited to thorough cleaning of the facility and supplies, pressure washing and disinfecting kennels, keeping a watchful eye on our boarding and daycare guests for anxious behavior or decline of health, love and care for pets as if they were our own and have contact with our “people” clients (customer service). Our services are in very high demand! Reliable, versatile and thorough workers have great chance of early promotion! Requirements for applicants: must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able to minimally commit to two set shifts a week, one of these shifts being either every Saturday or every Sunday. HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. We are hiring personnel that: • Have general knowledge of canine/feline needs, breeds and behaviors • Have the ability to work 6-8 active hours on their feet, able to lift 25lbs.(+) repeatedly in a shift and are able to work outdoors in all types of weather • Are flexible with scheduling; we are the busiest during weekends and holidays when people travel. • Communicate with coworkers, managers and clients effectively and be able to work as a team • Have time management and organizational skills; be able to be self sufficient and work with minimal supervision • Withstand at times an unpleasant environment; noise, hair, foul smells and still have a good attitude (these are animals we are working with ) • Have a calm and perceptive mind frame; sometimes we need to deal with an emergency or under pressure Our work is challenging, fun and rewarding. Staff are welcome to bring their own pets to daycare while working after 30 days of start of employment. We also offer 50% off of our services for your own pet (grooming and boarding). We prefer applicants with previous kennel/pet industry experience yet are willing to train the right person. Email resumes or stop in to apply.
