Full Job Description Dry Source Property Restoration has been successfully doing business in the Madison area for 4 years. We are seeking a trustworthy and qualified Restoration Technician/Carpenter to add to our team. Job Summary: The Restoration Technician/Carpenter is responsible for leading water mitigation jobs and is also responsible for performing all general construction and restoration responsibilities on job sites. Principal Duties: Perform general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials. Perform or assist with general construction tasks to include framing, drywall, texture, painting, flooring, demo, setting cabinets, bath and kitchen remodels Inspect residential and commercial properties for water damage and develop a drying plan to include the set-up of drying equipment, monitoring temperature, relative humidity and specific humidity Extract water from flooded structures using commercial extraction equipment Remove damaged or wet building materials such as carpet, pad, baseboard, cabinets and drywall Complete all necessary paperwork and record all moisture levels and job notes utilizing proprietary software and direct actions according to readings Perform responsibilities related to cleaning, carpet cleaning, air duct cleaning, mold mitigation and fire cleanup Understand and select proper equipment, and set up and operate construction and restoration equipment correctly Communicate with customers as directed by Supervisor/Project Manager and secure customer expectations by planning, executing and documenting drying strategies Direct on-site work of subcontractors Other duties as assigned Skills/Qualifications: IICRC certifications preferred Must be able to exercise independent judgement and decision-making Must have valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle Must possess strong reading, writing and communication skills Must have working knowledge of construction equipment and tools Positive attitude Able to stand for 8 hours and lift 50 pounds or more Able to wear appropriate PPE for extended periods of time Able to follow direction and work as a team Character and strong work ethic are the foundation of our company.
