Join our Volunteer team to help Meals on Wheels in King County fight hunger! As a Meals on Wheels Volunteer, you will belong to a team committed to helping homebound seniors maintain their health and independence with nutritious food, personal contact, and caring service. Packer: A Volunteer is needed to help pack meals on Wednesday mornings, on occasion. As a packer, you will bag the meals delivered to homebound seniors. When a delivery goes well – drivers leave with the right bags to deliver and clients receive the meals they ordered – and it’s you we can thank. Training for this position is provided. We are looking for volunteers who are interested in volunteering longer term. Qualifications: Good communication and people skills, reliability, good cheer, and a commitment to the well-being of homebound elders. This is an on-going volunteer commitment. Requirements: Complete an application, consent to a background check, be able to lift 15lbs, be at least 18 years of age, and have a Washington state driver's license.
