URS provides full service residential, commercial and institutional restorations, specializing in content pack out, fire and water damage mitigation. As a Restoration/Carpentry technician, you are responsible for daily duties as it relates to cleaning up from water and fire damages. Duties: • Participation in a weekly rotational on-call schedule. • Physically able to work in PPE including respiratory protection when conditions require. • Safe operation of company equipment and vehicles • Requires walking, standing, stooping, bending and moving furniture • Safely and properly pack out/pack back contents, textiles and furniture from customer site • Set up, monitor progress, and tear-down the drying equipment • Discuss field observations with management to ensure project execution and accuracy is timely • Responsible for all moisture readings and proper documentation as instructed by the IICRC and as requested by each individual “TPA” • Submit all paperwork and photo documentation updates to designated person on a daily basis for work performed and as required • Responsible for sketching the affected areas in MICA/Moisture Mapper per program requirements • Responsible for ensuring proper maintenance of equipment is completed on regularly scheduled basis • Water Extraction • Performing general cleaning functions as quoted in project scope of work or/and as guided by job site manager • Setting up containment, decontaminating, setting up/monitoring remediation equipment • Must maintain a safe work record and identify potentially unsafe working scenarios or conditions. • Capable of painting • Basic Carpentry work and demo • Upholding all company safety policies Requirements: • Requires medium to light labor and an extremely positive attitude. • Candidate must be able to lift 75 lbs. consecutively. • Valid driver's license is required. • Must have clean criminal background (no felony convictions). • Drug Free Workplace/Equal Employment Opportunity • Must be reliable, customer-oriented and willing to be part of a team o Clean cut, organized person with positive attitude. Outstanding personal skills and the ability to think on your feet is a necessity. o Must be an outgoing, personable individual who makes a good first impression with customers. • Wear a clean, neat and proper company uniform. o Meet company standards for attendance and punctuality IICRC Certifications WRT, FST and AMRT (Preferred) • Compliance with all issued and administered safety training Qualifications: • High School Diploma or equivalent • 2 plus years’ experience in insulation or general carpentry • Knowledgeable of residential construction, remodeling practices and procedures, best practice techniques, tools equipment and materials. • Capable of comprehending verbal and written instructions • Willing to build relationships with fellow employees, inspectors & customers • Capable of organizing tasks and assigning them to your team or completing them on your own • Ability to work off of ladders, aerial lifts and at heights of up to 60 feet • Ability of lifting weight between 40-80lb • Continuous ability to be reliable, responsible and dependable • Carpentry background is an added plus Compensation: • Top pay for our industry • Paid Vacations: Start Earning PTO Day on day one • 401K Retirement Plan with company match • Health Insurance- Dual Plan Option: Base Plan-95% Paid for employee/ 50% for dependents Buy Up Plan- 75% Paid for employee/ 50% for dependents • Life Insurance- 1 years’ salary/wage earnings • Safety Training Full Time Position.
