Job description $500 Sign On BONUS! We are actively looking for an individual skilled with basic handyman skills to fill our Full-time Maintenance position to assist the Maintenance Supervisor for a children's mental health facility. Schedule is full-time, Monday-Friday 40 hours/week. Some evening hours may be required. Pay differential for on-call or emergency calls. Duties include routine maintenance and upkeep of the building and grounds, including patching and painting walls, minor carpentry, electrical and plumbing work. Responsible for assisting the Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining the safe operation of the facility. Maintains safety and operations systems and monitors all regulatory requirements in conjunction with the maintenance supervisor. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Preventive maintenance Understand procedures for testing the emergency preparedness system. Know the location of all mechanical systems. Know HVAC filters and locations. Assist in the preventive maintenance program. Completes work orders as assigned Promote cleaning of equipment components. Suggest ideas that promote equipment reliability. Demonstrate casualty prevention awareness. Recognize potential problems to minimize down time. Assist in the Safety program management Complete fire extinguisher inspection program. Follow lockout tag-out procedures, Report safety hazards. Know life safety codes. Responsible for sprinkler systems tests. Suggest ideas that enhance safety programs. Assist in Project management Work as a member of the team. Maintain clean work areas and tool safety. Be self-motivated, anticipate the next step in completing projects. Ability to learn new skills. Some mechanical skills required. Complete tasks/projects. Exhibit communication skills. Ability to resolve problems or refer to pertinent personnel. Ability to manage inventory. This position is required to travel between facilities, so a valid driver's license and current insurance is required. Requirements: -Must be at least 18 years old -Must be able to pass a drug screen and all background clearances to work around children -Must have a valid driver's license, insurance and reliable transportation, as occasional travel to satellite offices is necessary Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $35,000.00 per year COVID-19 considerations: We are continuously monitoring staff temperatures and symptoms.
