Description
‼Extremely Urgent‼ Junior and Tanya will be euthanized 7/24, 8am! We ask all of you to share and help these 2 dogs live. 💔 We are beyond being overwhelmed!! The Shelter is Over Capacity and difficult decisions out of our control our being made!! Both these dogs do not deserve this! Can anyone step up and save their life? If you can, please call the Dog Savers’ Hotline ) or private message the page ASAP. Please do not think will get extra time. Shelter is so full no extensions given currently... Tanya🎀 (#A4583675), 4-year-old, spayed, brindle and white American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever Mix: She is adorable!!. She is very calm quiet and very timid and shy. Tanya is highly stressed and anxious in the shelter setting, specifically when in her kennel (leaping, bounding off kennel gate and walls). Sadly, she is beginning to injure herself. She is tolerant around other dogs and could benefit from being in a home with other dogs. Tanya is timid and may startle when there are unexpected noises or movements. She likes being either at someone’s feet or on a lap and gains confidence when close to people. She also likes petting and belly rubs and will “sit” for treats that she takes gently. The shelter recommends that Tanya has an experienced adopter and a dog introduction (Dog introductions are temporarily cancelled.) The shelter requires that Tanya meets the entire family and that she goes to a home with no children. Junior🐾 (#A4605880), 3-year-old, neutered, black and white German Shepherd/American Pit Bull Terrier Mix: Junior has been exhibiting high levels of stress and frustration in his kennel that show in circling, chasing, and biting at his tail, jumping, and barking. This is primarily due to limited out-of- kennel time due to medical status at the shelter. Junior came to the shelter as a stray. The finder had Junior for a week before bringing him to the shelter and reported that he "barked". No dog to dog intro was done at the shelter so we don't know how Jr. is with other dogs. While in the yard, he was more interested in sniffing than interacting with staff but in time he will warm up. This poor dog is struggling in his kennel, and it is not humane to keep him in shelter. If you have another dog, you must be prepared to crate and separate and do slow intro with a trainer if possible. We do not know how he is with other dogs.
