A small family owned, real estate development company in Oakland is growing and looking to hire motivated and reliable General Construction Laborers with strong work ethics. If you do not naturally take pride in your work this is not the job for you. We only want to work with individuals who are passionate about the construction industry and don’t see themselves doing anything else! We are hiring General Construction Laborers to be part of a team working to remodel residential homes for low-income disadvantaged homeowners and building affordable housing. GENERAL LABOR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: • Provide excellent customer service to clients. • Cleaning and preparing construction sites. • Loading and unloading materials and equipment. • Assisting in the demolition and other phases of construction. • Operating and tending machinery and heavy equipment. • Following instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans. • Assisting skilled tradespeople in their duties. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Minimum 1 year experience dedicated exclusively to working in the construction industry as a Laborer. Painting experience is preferred. • High School diploma or GED equivalency with fluency in English. • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. • Be able to bend and lift up to 50lbs. • Strong communication skills. • Ability to multitask including prioritizing work orders. • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and possess a valid driver’s license with a clean DMV record. • Drug and alcohol testing may be required.
