Horse Stable Hand - weekends

Small horse stable in Sausalito is looking for the next stable hand. This job is Saturday and Sundays. Flexible hours between 6:00 - 10:00 am and 4:30 - 6:30 pm. (Approximately 2 ½ hours morning and 1 hour afternoons). The stable currently boards 8 - 10 horses. Job duties include: • Feed (am and pm) • Daily stall/paddock cleaning. Replace bedding as needed • Turn horses out to paddocks after AM feed • Turning the horses into stalls for PM feed • Blanketing • Fill water troughs in paddock • Some raking/sweeping of facility Ideal candidate: • Comfortable handling horses • Able to lift 75 pound bales of hay • Responsible and caring • Comfortable working outdoors (rain or shine) • Comfortable with mucking stalls and working with horse manure. • Comfortable with the physical demands that this job requires. • Reliable transportation to get to the stables twice a day The position can possibly be expanded to additional days, or kept at weekends only depending on your interest.
