Foreman Needed for High End Custom Home Builder

We are a high-end custom home builder seeking a qualified "bags on" Foreman who is comfortable both managing smaller jobs on his/her own and also adept and working in tandem with a Site Superintendent on bigger projects. PRIMARY DUTIES • Manage small projects independently. • Must possess advanced carpentry skills and the ability to work hands on and put work in place. • Supervise employees, subcontractors and vendors to ensure both quality and compliance with project requirements. • On larger projects, assist the Superintendent in tracking construction schedule through the project as well as supervise employees, subcontractors and vendors to ensure both quality and compliance with project requirements. • Resolve problems as they arise regarding plans, specifications, and conflicts with subcontractors, engineers and architects. • Participate and ensure overall job safety according to Cal/OSHA standards and company programs. SKILLS • Excellent communication, organizational and problem solving skills including computer skills. • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently. • Skill at instructing and training others. • Thorough knowledge of reading plans and specifications. • A well rounded journeyman carpenter -- foundation to finish skills. QUALIFICATIONS: • Minimum 10 years construction experience; minimum 5 years experience as a Foreman. • Ability to conduct oneself in a professional and courteous manner. • Must have a clean driving record and a valid California Drivers License.
