Job Summary
Staff leads and officiates Pee Wee Soccer programs at city facilities, athletics fields, school gymnasium and/or off-site program locations. Pee Wee Soccer is for ages 3-6. Set up and break down equipment prior to and following games; maintain a clean, safe and orderly facility. Training is provided. Pee Wee Soccer takes place at Crestwoods Park, 1818 6th Street, Kirkland 98033.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be age 16 or older. Must have or be able to obtain First Aid/CPR certification by start date. Applicants who are offered a position must successfully complete a thorough background check as required by the Child/Adult Abuse Information Act.
Preferred Qualifications
Officiating experience is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of the basic rules of soccer.
Experience working with kids is preferred but not required.
Working Conditions
Gymnasium (indoor) work and Soccer Field (outdoor) which requires ability to run and keep alert in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Hours of Work
This is a temporary part-time job. The program runs September 11 – October 23; Saturdays 8:45am-3pm for 7 consecutive weeks.
There is opportunity for more hours after the pee wee soccer season. We offer pee wee soccer, pee wee multi-sport and many summer sport camps.
Selection Process
Applicants who are invited to participate in the interview process will be notified by phone or email. Applicants who submit certification documentation with the City Application will receive first consideration.
Candidates who are selected to interview will be required to complete a Criminal History Release Form and a RCW Supplemental Questionnaire.
