I'm actually in Bham, but figured I would try my luck here. It's a long one. Sorry about that Been trying to get this going, for a while now. It's a laid back, kinda.. neo 80s thing? Sorta like synthwave? But more laid back with a slightly lofi-ish sound. I have roughly 40 instrumental tracks. Mostly synth.. but at least 1 guitar (I have only recorded the guitar tracks for a couple. Wanting to get the vocal melodies sorted out first). Right now, the only goal I am working towards is just getting 1 track with vocals. Yes, I want to play shows, release an entire album, put a proper band together, etc. However, I need one song done. After 395573 setbacks, I've had to manage my expectations lol. I have worked with a few people, but nothing has really panned out. They are either not a good fit for the sound, don't have enough time, or do wayyyy too much cocaine lmao. In the interest of saving us both some time, I will try to be more specific about what I am looking for :) - Have SOME spare time. We don't have to get together and practice twice a week. And unless you want to write the actual music together, you can work from home. I get it, I have a job/life too. That being said, having time to actually meet somewhat regularly will definitely score you bonus points. And I absolutely want to play shows. If this is something you don't want to do, then we can find someone to fill in. We will figure that out later - You do not have to play an instrument. I'm totally okay working on all of the music. I'm going to work on it, anyway. Not working on music for an extended period of time causes me to have an existential crisis, or something lol. If I could quit, I probably would. - The sound I'm looking for is a.. "breathy", soothing vocal style. Very simple stuff. If you are someone who has a big vocal style, this may not be the best fit for you. That being said, I am open to trying ALMOST anything. I hear female vocals in my head, but that's not a deal breaker. If it doesn't work, I will be totally honest with you. Whatever your style is, I need you to sing in key. Some stuff can be fixed with pitch correction plugins, but if you are way off, it will make you sound like a robot. - The cocaine comment was kind of a joke. If you enjoy the occasional key bump in a bar bathroom, more power to you lmao. I don't care. If something like that keeps you from being a functional human being, then you probably need to get your shit together before starting a band. - Major points if you are able to record at home. It's definitely not a requirement tho. I know quite a few people with experience recording and better equipment, if we need help getting the sound right Thanks for making it through the wall of text.
