OBRC is the industry steward of Oregon’s nationally recognized beverage container deposit program. We help keep Oregon beautiful by providing outstanding services to our partner distributors and retailers, and to the public for the recovery, reuse, and recycling of beverage containers. Summary The Administrative Assistant performs a variety of administrative tasks to support the Director of Plant Operations and the statewide team of plants. This position will oversee the identification, creation, implementation, and maintenance of all plant operational procedures; provide technical assistance to plant managers and supervisors; and provide general administrative support. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Create and maintain documentation of operational procedures Identify and provide support to implement improvements to operational procedures Provide technical assistance to plant managers and supervisors Monitor operations for problems; take action where possible and escalate when required Develop and maintain operational procedures and control mechanisms to improve ops and reduce operational errors Update operational procedures in accordance with statewide policy changes Interact with statewide team to ensure sound implementation of operational procedures Generate and update daily director-level operations reports Assist with answering phones, providing quality customer service Completion of expense reports and assist with expense approvals Scheduling of and organizing of events for plant ops teams Recording of meeting minutes Education/Experience H.S. Diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred Minimum 5 years of high level administrative or operations support Requirements – Skills, Job Knowledge & Abilities Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook, with experience in generating graphs and charts in Excel Proficient typing skills (50 WPM minimum desired) Mathematical and computational analysis Problem Solving Skills (using Best-Practice techniques to thoroughly solve-problems) Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively at all levels with both internal and external partners Ability to provide excellent internal and external customer service, demonstrating high degree of professionalism in all functions and communications Demonstrated ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple projects, adhere to deadlines, handle frequent changes effectively and professionally, follow through on issues in a timely manner and give excellent attention to detail Ability to adapt to and learn software required for the job Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance plans 401(k) with company matching Paid Time Off Paid Holiday Ready to apply today?
