This service extends to all clients – internal and external. The Groundskeeper reports to the Manager and is responsible for the overall cleanliness and curb appeal of the community. The primary responsibilities of the Maintenance Groundskeeper are grounds, parking lot, and community area upkeep, work orders, and maintaining excellent resident relations through superior customer service. On call and weekend hours may be required. ** Your job responsibilities are included but not limited to items listed below. At Horizon, we believe in teamwork and going above and beyond in our position to accomplish results.*** Responsibilities • Maintain positive resident relations through superior service • Participate in the daily operations of the property, and you will be responsible for the trash valet program • Cleanliness of the grounds, pool, leasing office, and common community areas • Work Order response • The Turn and Make Ready process • Adhering to company policy, state and federal safety and fair housing laws • Hands on repair and upkeep Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred • A minimum of 1-year maintenance experience required • Maintenance experience in multi-unit complexes or hotels preferred • Experience with plumbing, electrical and HVAC preferred • HVAC Certification preferred • Mechanical background preferred • Good organizational and people skills • Must be able to lift and work with heavy equipment • Basic understanding of plumbing • The ability to work independently with attention to detail • Basic knowledge of lawn care • Good interpersonal skills and a great attitude • A passion to serve residents, parents, vendors, and colleagues
